Edo CAGraM Applauds Gov. Okpebholo’s Decisive Intervention On The Security Challenges in Edo Central, Strongly Condemns Violence in Ekpoma.

The Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement (CAGraM) Edo State Chapter has commended His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo  State, for his timely, pragmatic, and decisive response in addressing recent security challenges in Edo Central Senatorial District of the State.

The Pro APC Movement led by its Chairman, Andrew O. Omosefe, PhD, FCPM notes that the Governor’s swift response emphasizes a leadership style anchored on responsibility, intelligence-led governance, and an unparalleled commitment to the protection of lives and property across the state. The measures deployed demonstrate a potent political will to protect lives, properties and also reaffirm the administration’s resolve to tackle security threats proactively rather than reactively through kinetic and non kinetic approaches in line with the progressive SHINE AGENDA.

While acknowledging the genuine concerns and anxieties of citizens arising from security breaches, Edo CAGraM unequivocally condemns the violence that erupted in the protest in Ekpoma, the administrative headquarters of Esan West Local government Area of Edo State. Edo CAGraM stressed that violence, destruction of public and private properties, businesses, and breakdown of law and order can never be legitimate tools for expressing grievances in a democratic society.

The group emphasizes that such actions undermine ongoing result oriented efforts by the government and security agencies, jeopardize communal harmony, and expose innocent citizens to avoidable risks. "Constructive engagement, dialogue, and lawful civic participation remain the most effective channels for resolving grievances and strengthening governance," Edo CAGraM Noted.

Edo CAGraM, therefore, calls on community leaders, youths, and security stakeholders in Edo Central to remain calm, vigilant, and supportive of all Gov. Okpebholo's initiatives aimed at restoring peace, stability, and in tackling security issues across the state. The group further urges residents to cooperate fully with security agencies by providing credible and useful information that will aid in the identification and apprehension of criminal elements in the district and beyond.

Edo CAGraM reaffirms its confidence in the Okpebholo-led administration and its capacity to consolidate peace, deepen security architecture, and deliver sustainable development across Edo State.
